Our last session before Xmas is 10th December and then we break until January 7th 2012.
ACCOMMODATION ISSUES!
As most of you are aware the Corn Exchange recently closed it's doors very suddenly, which left us in a bit of a turmoil for accommodating our Junior groups. We'd like to say a big thank you to all our parents/guardians who have supported us and been patient with us while we have had to seek alternative accommodation. Batts school have been great in helping to accommodate our Junior groups as was The Masonic Hall, unfortunately the classroom at Batts School isn't sufficiently big enough to allow movement for physical activities and The Masonic Hall are unable to offer us a long block booking.
I have now had news from Witney Town Council that they are able to reaccommodate us at Langdale Hall in the Buffet Room but this is only for certain Saturday's in 2012 for the remainder of the Academic Year, therefore , for the majority of time we will be at Langdale, but there will be some sessions where we will be using Batts School. Please check the website every Friday evening for updates on location. We will try to ensure that a notice is put up at every session to advise what will be happening the next week until we find out further news as to when it is likely the Corn Exchange will reopen!

FILM SCHOOL
The Film School will be starting again in the New Year, this takes place on Wednesday evenings at Batts School. We have now decided to turn this into a weekly club for 10 years and upwards. DANCE SESSIONS
The new dance sessions we started in September with Chris North are proving to be a big success, if you would like to book for these classes please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it as soon as possible as places are already starting to fill up. For those taking part in their usual Abdabs session, there will be a discounted fee for the dance class/es.

NEW DANCE SESSIONS

NEW TEACHERS/COACHES
Our new professional female actor Laura Penneycard has settled in nicely and is codirecting St Trinians. Laura is appearing on stage in London in the Firework Maker's Daughter from Dec 2011 - January 2012 so will be back with us at the end January 2012. Laura will also be working on Abdabs Edinburgh Fringe project for 2013.

SUMMER SCHOOL 2012
We are already planning Summer 2012 for further Summer Schools, if you are interested in your child/ren taking part, please let us know before the end of 2011. MOVEIT DANCE EXHIBITION
We will be taking another group of students to the MOVEIT Dance Exhibition in 2012, if you would like your child to attend this event, please reserve a place for them as soon as possible by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . There will be a maximum number of 45 places for ages 9yrs – 18yrs only. We will require a deposit of £5 at the beginning of the Spring Term and the remainder will need to be paid by the beginning of March, the cost of the trip will be £17.50 per person. Please note that Abdabs heavily subsidises this trip and there are now 30 places remaining.
EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL 2013
We are going to be working towards taking 1 to 2 groups of students to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2013 in the area of Musical Theatre/Drama and Dance. In order to do this we will be actively raising money through various different events over 2012. We would be grateful if you could help sponsor us in this by giving some of your time to help come up with ideas for different fund raisers and participate in running some of these activities.
